CALLBACK AUDITION INFORMATION
Date: Monday, June 15
Studio D (Suite N) at Street of Dreams
Thank you to all those who came out and auditioned for Street of Dreams Theatre's Summer Production, Mary Poppins, Jr.! It was a pleasure to see the effort and energy that all of you put into auditions. Below is a list of Dreamers we would like to see again for Callbacks. Callbacks will be held on Monday, June 15. To best use everyone's time wisely, we are doing a staggered call time for callbacks.
Callback Schedule below. Please arrive for the character you are called back for. You will be released once we have seen what we need to see.
JANE & MICHAEL - 5:00pm
MARY POPPINS - 5:30pm
BERT - 6:00pm
WINIFRED BANKS, GEORGE BANKS, MRS. BRILL, ROBERSTON AY - 6:30pm
MISS ANDREW, BIRD WOMAN - 7:00pm
We are hoping to be done callbacks around 8:30pm, but we will not know exactly due to the amount of dreamers who are called back. Please plan to be at Callbacks until you are released. Please stick around the area or be able to pick up your dreamer when they are released. Remember that a Callback does not guarantee you the role you are called back for. All materials for Callbacks are available on the audition page and music page.
Please note that if you do not see your name, that does not mean you are not going to be cast for the show. EVERYONE gets a part in the show!!
The reasons for Callbacks could be as follows:
1 You are being considered (or already cast) for a particular role and we want to see you do short excerpts of the requirements for that part.
2 You had a very strong audition and are being considered for multiple parts.
3 We need to see you paired with other people that are being considered for roles you will interact with for pairing.
4 We have several people who did well on their audition and are having a difficult time choosing.
Please prepare the song/script excerpt listed by the part(s) you are being called back on. Please note that some parts do NOT have a singing portion.
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST USE THE SUPPLIED RECORDINGS FOR THIS AUDITION.
We understand some Dreamers are called back for multiple roles. We DO NOT expect memorization, although it can help, we just expect effort to be put into it, so that your Dreamer is prepared and familiar with the songs and the sides. We don’t want a Dreamer to miss out on an opportunity that they could’ve had a week to prepare for. We are looking for personality and energy along with good diction and pitch. They are expected to do the things below:
